2026 UFL FANTASY QB RANKINGS
With fewer than two weeks remaining until kickoff, I’ve released my initial rankings for the 2026 UFL season. These rankings are based on a scoring format I have used in my leagues for nearly three decades, which differs from standard public formats. In this model, quarterback passing touchdowns are valued at 7 points, rather than the traditional 4, placing greater emphasis on the position’s overall impact on the game.
This approach stems from a fundamental question: why aren’t quarterbacks consistently the highest-scoring players on their teams? Given their importance and influence on every offensive play, I have always believed the scoring should better reflect their value. As a result, both last season’s production and the 2026 projections are built using this adjusted scoring system.
This year presents a clear top tier, but there are significant question marks beyond the top four quarterbacks. Evaluating new players entering the league and projecting how different offensive coordinator systems will translate to production adds an element of uncertainty. That uncertainty makes the second tier particularly intriguing, as it offers both upside and risk for fantasy managers.
Overall, this may be the most talented group of quarterbacks the league has seen. Each of the eight projected starters has the potential to deliver league-winning value. Ultimately, success at the position will come down to managing risk and making the right selection on draft day.
Enjoy the rankings, and I will provide updates as needed once final rosters are confirmed later this week.
UFL Fantasy Quarterback Rankings — 2026
Tier 1 — QB1
Jordan Ta’amu — DC Defenders
2026 Outlook
Entering the 2026 season, Ta’amu stands as the clear QB1 in UFL fantasy rankings. The upcoming season will mark his sixth year playing spring football and his fourth season with the DC Defenders. Just as important, it will be his fourth season working with offensive coordinator Fred Kaiss, giving the offense rare continuity in spring leagues.
The Defenders’ offensive scheme emphasizes vertical passing and aggressive playmaking, a system that fits Ta’amu’s strengths perfectly. He has increased his touchdown totals every season within the system, and with top wide receiver Cornell Powell and tight end Briley Moore returning, the offense should remain among the league’s most productive.
With stability in coaching, returning weapons, and a proven offensive system, Ta’amu is well positioned to repeat as the league’s top fantasy quarterback.

Tier 1 — QB2
Luis Perez — Dallas Renegades
2026 Outlook
Widely known as the “King of Spring,” Perez has built a reputation as one of the most accurate quarterbacks in spring football. In 2026, he will operate under new offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone, formerly of the Memphis Showboats.
Mazzone’s offense emphasizes quick reads and high-percentage throws, a system that aligns well with Perez’s strengths. Within this scheme, he is expected to function as the “point guard” of the offense—distributing the ball efficiently and keeping the unit on schedule.
He will also benefit from continuity at the skill positions, with wide receivers Tyler Vaughns and Deontay Burnett returning, providing reliable and experienced targets in the passing game. While he threw just nine touchdown passes in 2025, positive touchdown regression positions him as a strong candidate for increased scoring production in 2026.

Tier 1 — QB3
Matt Corral — Birmingham Stallions
2026 Outlook
Corral enters the 2026 season with legitimate MVP upside if he can stay healthy. Birmingham returns key playmakers Deon Cain and Marlon Williams, while former NFL talents Laviska Shenault Jr. and John Ross bring explosive ability to the receiving corps. Running back Anthony McFarland Jr. adds another dynamic weapon out of the backfield.
On paper, this may be the most talented offensive supporting cast assembled since the UFL merger in 2023. If Corral returns fully healthy, the Stallions offense could quickly become one of the most dangerous units in the league.

2026 Projected PPG: 23.5
Tier 1 — QB4
Jalen McClendon — Columbus Aviators
2026 Outlook
McClendon finally received an opportunity to start in 2025 and made the most of it, demonstrating the poise and production of a capable starting quarterback. While his strong connection with former teammate Justin Hall will need to be replaced, the Aviators will lean on experienced spring football receivers Devin Ross and Keke Chism.
Columbus also benefits from the offensive leadership of veteran coach Todd Haley, whose system should help maximize McClendon’s strengths. With a strong running game expected to support the offense, the outlook for both McClendon and the Aviators is trending upward heading into the 2026 season.

Tier 2 — QB5
Dorian Thompson-Robinson — Orlando Storm
2026 Outlook
The 2026 season will mark Thompson-Robinson’s first year in the UFL as he joins an Orlando Storm team led by head coach Anthony Becht. The offense, coordinated by Colin Thompson and Mark Colombo, is expected to prioritize a strong offensive line and physical play in the trenches.
This structure could allow DTR to operate efficiently without needing to carry the offense strictly through the air, while his mobility gives him the potential to be a major weekly fantasy factor. The Storm also feature an experienced receiving group that includes former DC Defenders playmaker Chris Rowland and former NFL wide receiver K.J. Hamler. In the backfield, running back Jashaun Corbin could emerge as one of the league’s top rushers.
While there is always some uncertainty when former NFL players transition to the UFL, Thompson-Robinson has the athletic ability and supporting cast to be highly productive and potentially guide Orlando into playoff contention.

Jason Bean — Louisville Kings
2026 Outlook
Jason Bean enters the 2026 season with the profile of a potential MVP-caliber player. He is supported by a talented group of wide receivers, including Jonathan Adams, Kwamie Lassiter II, and Lucky Jackson, along with a backfield featuring former NFL running backs Benny Snell and James Robinson.
Offensive coordinator Steve Logan brings a proven, pro-style system built around a “fully dimensional” passing attack. His scheme emphasizes 3-, 5-, and 7-step drops, play-action concepts, sprint-outs, and vertical passing designed to create explosive plays. Logan also effectively incorporates quarterback mobility through zone-read elements while maintaining a strong focus on disciplined quarterback development and cohesive offensive execution.

Tier 2 — QB7
Brandon Silvers — St. Louis Battlehawks
2026 Outlook
Silvers enters the 2026 season with valuable UFL experience dating back to 2020 and a strong level of familiarity with offensive coordinator A.J. Smith. The two previously worked together during the 2023 season with the Houston Roughnecks, where Silvers started eight games and threw 13 touchdown passes, demonstrating his ability to operate effectively within Smith’s system.
Smith’s offensive philosophy is rooted in the Run ‘n’ Shoot, a high-tempo, pass-oriented scheme that emphasizes vertical spacing, timing, and quarterback decision-making. His system also incorporates elements of the Air Raid, drawing influence from coaches such as Mike Leach and June Jones, and places a premium on receivers adjusting routes based on defensive coverage.
Silvers is supported by a strong receiving corps led by Hakeem Butler and Jahcour Pearson, both of whom provide big-play ability in the vertical passing game. Additionally, running back Jarveon Howard offers balance to the offense and has the potential to emerge as one of the league’s top contributors at his position.

2026 Projected PPG: 18.5
Tier 2 — QB8
Nolan Henderson — Houston Gamblers
2026 Outlook
This move reunites him with offensive coordinator Eric Price, giving him valuable familiarity within the system as he competes for playing time.
After primarily serving as a QB3 in previous seasons, his late-season flashes and dual-threat ability have kept him firmly on the radar as a viable professional prospect with upside.
Price brings a versatile offensive approach that emphasizes a strong running game paired with NFL-style passing concepts. His system is designed to establish the run, create efficient passing opportunities, and maximize red-zone production.
He will also benefit from one of the league’s top receiving duos in Jontre Kirklin and Justin Hall, providing reliable playmakers in the passing game.

2026 Projected PPG: 18.2
