That’s right all you lacrosse fans! AltFantasySports is excited to deliver you a season long fantasy lacrosse game for the entirety of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) season. All the action, scoring, big hits, and chaotic excitement of box lacrosse is now going to be on your computer or in your pocket for the 2025-26 NLL season. Fantasy Lacrosse is going to take your gameday experience to the next level as you track your team and compete for bragging rights against all your friends.
Ways to Play Fantasy Lacrosse
This season we will have a few different ways to play season-long fantasy NLL. You can create your league for free today and invite your friends to compete all season-long in a total points, head to head points, or head to head categories league. Each of these feature the ability to customize your settings as far as number of teams, points, and other scoring settings.
For season-long total points leagues, you will draft your team and start scoring and competing the minute the first faceoff starts. You and your leaguemates will set your lineups each week and watch as your laxxers compete on the field for supremacy. Everything they do will score points for your squad. Points. Rip a shot top bin? Points. Save a goal? Points. At the end of the season, whichever squad has accumulated the most total points will win the league. You can add/drop players each week and tweak your squad so they continue their run to glory.
In our head-to-head points leagues, each week you and a fantasy opponent will square off in the virtual box each week and try to outscore each other and earn the dub. Your runners and goalies compete on the turf and every loose ball, every goal, every block will rack up points for you and your virtual box lacrosse team. Out score your oppenent to earn the win and have the best record at the end of the season to compete in the virtual playoffs to bring another title to your titletown.
Our other weekly head-to-head option is for categories. You will set your lineup each week and compete to out count your opponent that week in more categories. The default categories are below and be sure to out-do your oppenent on the week to take home the win. Be mindful, you need to make sure your penalty minutes and goals against are lower than your opponent to win that category in default leagues. But, you can change that and flip it on its head and change the number of categories and which ones.
Fantasy Box Lacrosse Scoring
Scoring is at the heart of fantasy lacrosse and this NLL season, we have you covered with the most comprehensive and customizable scoring options anywhere. The below categories are the AFS default for category and head-to-head leagues, but you can customize them however you would like!
The default scoring categories and points for AltFantasy standard leagues are as follows for runners:
- Goals: 1 point
- Assists: 1 point
- Loose Balls: 0.5 points
- Caused Turnovers: 1 point
- Blocks: 1 point
- Faceoffs (Total Faceoffs Won minus Faceoffs Lost): 0.25 points
- Penalty Minutes: -0.5 points
For goalies, the default scoring is as follows:
- Start at 10 points
- Goals Against: -1 point
- Saves: 0.2 points
- Wins: 5 points
