Arena Football One has their first trade of the 2026 Season and it involves a team that made one of the best trades of the 2025 season. Wide Receiver Ledarian McAllister was traded today from the Minnesota Monsters to the Oregon Lightning for Future Considerations.

McAllister had a strong 2025 in AF1, playing nine games for the Washington Wolfpack and establishing himself as a force around the goal line. He hauled in 29 passes for 248 yards and 7 touchdowns. McAllister also added 6 rushes for 22 yards and a touchdown.

After his Wolfpack season ended, McAllister, we believe, went and played in The Arena League (although he is listed there as Ladarious McCallister there). In the TAL, McAllister remained a touchdown machine, churning out 7 touchdowns on 31 catches and producing 261 yards.

As a 6-4 receiver, McAllister uses his size and physicality to win contested catches and run hard after the catch. With a total 2025 stat line of 60 catches, 509 yards, and 14 touchdowns in 16 games, McAllister had an incredibly productive 2025.

Oregon makes excellent use of a preseason trade here and are hopeful it works out just as well as last year’s preseason trade for Dalton Cole. Cole is heading into year two with the Lightning and McAllister gives their offense another weapon to pair with Kris Lewis. With Lewis and McAllister in the fold, Oregon has set up Cole and their offense for success heading into the 2026 Arena Football One season.

“We got him [McAllister] out of a trade,” said Lightning Head Coach Chuck Jones. “He had amazing games against us last year so we are happy he’s on our side.”
